The majority of sites we design are WordPress CMS. As with any tool if you know how to use it properly, it can be a lot more powerful. Let’s look at how to structure your words to have the greatest impact on the SEO.
Within each post and page you have several options to help your site rank higher.
So, from the start… The design is complete and you are ready to begin adding content. Before you rush in adding blog posts and linking to your facebook page, let’s plan for your site’s future.
One of the first things you need do is identify your keywords or keyword phrases. These are generally a few variations of your ‘key’ terms that you will sprinkle throughout the content.
For example, if your business is an Organic hair salon then your keyword list might consist of terms like: organic hair, hair salon, organic hair color, non-toxic hair care, ammonia-free beauty, hair services, etc.
So those are Keywords, so you want to catch all phrases someone might be searching for with those but you should not use keywords and ‘tags’ interchangeably. A tag will be a single instance that could cover handfuls of keywords.
